Conclusion
The bucketed water wheel with an improved design performed the best with an average peak voltage of 3.79 mv with the paddle wheel's average peak voltage at 2.88 mv (see fig. b). This proved our hypothesis correct as we had stated that the bucketed wheel would have a higher peak voltage than the paddle wheel. This was likely due to induced drag and form drag. Also, the difference in angle of attack certainly had an affect on the amount of induced and form drag produced. In conclusion, the bucketed wheel with an improved design produced the highest peak voltage because of numerous factors including drag.
